ANIMALS

My animal wildlife paintings create a realistic portrait of how I feel. Animals are interesting, mysterious and secretive in a way humans don’t understand. I feel connected to animals and nature in this way as no human will ever really understand exactly what the animal is experiencing. Like the animals, I can not use spoken language to communicate fully the way hearing people can. In this series I tried to capture my own emotions in the expression of the animals that inspire me. The primary colors used in this series represent the deaf world, while the more realistically colored animals represent the hearing world.
